A branch is an arm of its parent. A company may have as many branches as it wishes. Each branch is not a separate legal entity, but an extension of the parent. The parent may operate all or part of its activities through a branch.
The parent as a whole is responsible for the obligations of its branches. Whilst each branch may have its own managers, the directors of the company are ultimately responsible for the activities of its branches.
